UK WAAG IN NIGERIA AND ANGOLA.
The UK West Africa Action Group (UK WAAG) run under the auspices of Aberdeen and Grampian Chamber of Commerce, with financial support from BP and Trade Partners UK, is committed to assisting UK based companies enter the oil and gas markets of West Africa. As part of its services to members UK WAAG have negotiated a package of “in country“ support services in Lagos and Port Harcourt, Nigeria, and Luanda, Angola, offering assistance with visas, immigration / emigration support and secure accommodation. This successful initiative offers long term support service for UK based companies wishing to establish a foothold or develop existing markets in Nigeria and Angola.
EXPORT CLUBS
In Scotland their exists a thriving group of Export Clubs set up to act as a Forum offering local business people the opportunity to network, hear from Expert speakers, and to exchange information about their own exporting experiences. The Clubs offer a varied programme of meetings tailored to satisfy the needs of the Membership. Export Club Objectives are:
- Stimulate Wider Interest/Activity in international trade
- To encourage Active Exporting
- To encourage the Spread of Best Export Practice
- To provide Business People with a Local Forum for the Discussion of Export Issues.
- To signpost the Availability of Sources of Export Support and Advice.
- To provide the opportunity for Regular, Informal Contact with Local Colleagues.
- To highlight Specific Market Opportunities.
- To encourage the exchange of knowledge and experience
- To provide a programme of events relating to different aspects of international trade
- To create the opportunity to seek/offer advice with experienced speakers
- To facilitate the transfer of exporting knowledge from those that have it, to those who need it'
